There are a number of reputable letting agents in West Hampstead, who deal mainly in letting apartments (studio to 2 bedroom) rather than rooms.

A saunter down the Kilburn Highroad may see you stumble across Let Express (364, Kilburn High Rd, London, NW6 2QH) Their website http://www.letex.co.uk seems to have expired.
